Let the Games Begin!

With Tim Shaw

G1 were set the challenge of coming up with a new way to communicate to 2000 store managers for a major supermarket chain.  This needed to provide a channel that delivered  new information, product up-dates and key business strategy and developments over 3 days.

Our solution was to build a fully interactive game show, which set interactive challenges over four rounds in 6 teams of 180 participants.    A custom built stage set was built featuring  bleacher seating and 9 large screens. The audio, vision and lighting was integrated through back end coding, so that the LIVE show could see the instant results from all questions appearing on screen.  This also allowed for customised light and audio affects when each of the buzzers where set off and each team won a round.

G1 wrote the content incorporating all the key messages which then became questions for the contestants to answer along the way. Tim Shaw, from the famed Demtel Infomercials,  and his lovely assistant Lexi hosted the show and questioned all of the contestants in each of the rounds. These format created a fun and competitive environment in which to provide key messages for the attendees. G1 also produced videos from key suppliers for "Ad breaks" between rounds so that additional information about products, and when support merchandising would be on offer with key time lines for both above the line and below the line activations roll out plans.

This event was a major installation with over 9 days programming, 5 days install,  3 show days and 1 day bump out. The game show was original and engaging and something that would usually be seen within a studio and filmed over many hours of the day. This project was very logistically and technically challenging. The content and communication of key messages was tightly considered throughout so as not to loose the message within the game show.
